Host in Ireland is pleased that one of its partners – leading global telecommunications provider Hibernia Networks – has expanded its global network platform.
Hibernia Networks is now able to deliver the lowest possible latency connectivity from Chicago to major financial markets in Mumbai, India and Moscow, Russia. Hibernia Networks is also offering improved latency connectivity to the Dubai Gold and Commodities Exchange in Dubai, UAE. In doing so, Hibernia Networks has strengthened its ability to serve financial markets in the Middle East.
Here is a breakdown of the new latency performance that Hibernia Networks is offering:
- CME – M1 Moscow: 105.40ms
- CME – BKC Mumbai: 176.95ms
- CME – DGCX Dubai: 172.85ms
Hibernia Networks’ new routes utilize the transatlantic Hibernia Express cable system, which is optimized for latency performance. It offers the lighting-fast, secure connectivity that today’s global financial firms require to compete.
“Hibernia Networks is a critical enabler of the global financial ecosystem, reinforced by the expansion of our low latency footprint into the key markets of Moscow, Mumbai, and Dubai,” stated Chief Commercial Officer of Hibernia Networks Omar Altaji following the announcement. “These cities and the regions they’re part of are poised for substantial growth in financial trading activity, driven by the expansion of electronic trading in equities, futures and options. Customers are now able to execute financial transactions and efficiently access vital market information in real time utilizing our ultra low latency routes into Moscow, Mumbai, and Dubai, resulting in enhanced profitability, as well as improved performance across this ecosystem.”
As Greenwich Associates Head of Research, Market Structure and Technology Kevin McPartland added, this move will streamline global trading.
“Emerging markets are experiencing significant growth in financial trading activity,” McPartland explained. “Upgrading the network infrastructure to industry-leading latency performance between emerging markets and global financial exchanges ensures instantaneous access to market information, driving greater trading efficiencies.”
Here at Host In Ireland, we applaud Hibernia Networks for its achievement. Although many of Host in Ireland’s partners are competitors, they come together as a collective to convey why Ireland provides the services clients need to meet their global digital hosting and connectivity requirements. We believe Hibernia Networks’ announcement reinforces Ireland’s image as a leading global connectivity hub. Hibernia Networks and other leading Irish telecommunications providers are helping multinational corporations to reach critical new markets and realize their global business expansion objectives.
