– Frank Huerta, CEO, TransLattice, says:
From daily operations to strategic business objectives, at the core of almost every enterprise application lies a database, the engine that drives today’s businesses. Organizations are facing significant challenges as they look to more agile solutions on the market today.
As the world’s most stable, advanced and fastest-growing open source RDBMS, deployed in 30 percent of enterprises, PostgreSQL is quickly becoming a data force to be reckoned with. In support of this thriving community, TransLattice and OpenSCG recently announced a partnership to deliver an enhanced user experience for customers looking to deploy new data-intensive initiatives. This partnership will provide a simplified option for transitioning from legacy systems, integrating current and new applications and deploying new data initiatives in commercial and open source environments.
OpenSCG provides services for PostgreSQL, Oracle and SQL Server databases, as well as for Cassandra and MongoDB databases. Its services include the installation and upgrade of new software, fine-tuning of existing systems and migration from legacy systems.
Complete solutions usually include both product and service components. Through this partnership, we are able to provide our customers with extended services and expertise to help them deploy or integrate their systems, reducing time to production. Customers will gain access to world-class installation, migration and integration services leveraging the best of open source technologies. Those with requirements outside of the regular PostgreSQL envelope will appreciate the benefits of Postgres-XL, which offers Massive Parallel Processing (MPP) and Big Data analytics capabilities. In addition, customers deploying TransLattice’s geo-distributed database, TransLattice Elastic Database (TED), will also have access to services provided by OpenSCG.
OpenSCG has deep roots in the PostgreSQL community and believes in fostering open source initiatives. With Postgres-XL, we are demonstrating our commitment to open source databases, and we are proud to partner with OpenSCG to extend enterprise open source database adoption.
