Power of the Cloud

AT&T, Amazon Web Service join forces for customer value

A quick question for all of you math whizzes out there: what’s a squared number? If you said a squared number is the result you get when multiplying any integer by itself, you’d be right.

The power of squared numbers is analogous to the combined capabilities of the networking leadership of AT&T and the cloud computing services of the AT&T NetBondSM ecosystem members. We’re able to multiply the advantages that the cloud brings to enterprise customers by teaming up with some of the world’s leading Cloud Solution Providers. Customers reap the benefits of the innovation and expertise brought to bear by two industry leaders.

Today, we announced the addition of Amazon Web Services (AWS) to the AT&T NetBond ecosystem. AWS provides a highly reliable, scalable, low-cost infrastructure platform in the cloud that powers hundreds of thousands of enterprise, government and startup customers’ businesses around the globe. AT&T NetBond, our network enabled cloud solution allows customers to extend their MPLS Virtual Private Network (VPN) to a choice of cloud service providers for the delivery of business applications through fast, flexible and highly-secure connectivity.

Customers will be able to use AT&T NetBond Service to connect to AWS, including the ability to access services on the go from mobile devices.

Amazon Web Services and AT&T NetBond give enterprise customers a powerful new option to take advantage of the transformative business benefits of moving workloads to the cloud.

AT&T NetBond is the marriage of AT&T VPNs with the cloud. The service enables customers to extend their AT&T VPN to third party cloud resources allowing the cloud resources to be accessed as another node on the customer’s VPN.

With AT&T NetBond, companies can save as much as 60 percent on networking costs and see as much as 50 percent lower latency in performance when compared to the public internet.

It’s proving to be a potent combination for businesses that are looking for a highly-secure solution to support their cloud initiatives.
