Chayora signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to acquire a data centre campus site in Q3 2017 with construction now planned to start in Q2 2018.

This will be Chayora’s second hyperscale campus and is a very exciting step as it is the only greenfield campus available for the compute-hungry Shanghai market. Unlike most other options for Shanghai, Chayora’s facilities will all be newly-built and designed from the ground up to international standards with all necessary permits to enable global corporates to access Shanghai and the surrounding provinces of Eastern China.

With a regional population of more than 200 million and with centres for financial services, e-commerce and cloud, Shanghai is a key location for global organisations, and is in need of significant high performance data centre capacity.
