This week, GTT Communications, Inc. (NYSE: GTT) was selected by wholesale voice and real-time communications provider Telnyx to connect its global points of presence (PoP) with its cutting-edge IP Transport and Ethernet services.
GTT’s IP Transit service runs on a Tier 1 IP network that is ranked in the top five worldwide. The network covers 250 PoPs around the world, and is built on carrier-class optical and routing infrastructure. The network is 100 percent native dual stack (IPv4 and IPv6), and can connect clients to any location in the world and any cloud application. Plus, GTT enhances its best-in-class infrastructure with proactive network maintenance and regular infrastructure upgrades.
Initial deployments will take place at Telnyx’s PoPs in San Jose, Chicago and Ashburn, Virginia. Expansion is also being planned across Europe and Asia.
“Our customers are working internationally more than ever before, and they are looking for a partner who can support them seamlessly,” said David Casem, CEO and cofounder of Telnyx. “We knew GTT could deliver connectivity with the reliability, performance and uptime necessary for us to realize the same mission-critical, real-time communications services we’ve offered in North America on a global scale.”
As GTT President and CEO Rick Calder explained following the announcement, GTT is thrilled to be working with Telnyx.
“We are pleased that Telnyx has chosen GTT for its network connectivity needs,” Calder stated. “As one of the top five IP networks in the world, GTT is able to provide Telnyx with expansive reach and seamless scalability for guaranteed high-quality delivery of latency-sensitive applications, such as voice. We look forward to continuing to build upon our relationship with Telnyx on a global basis.”
